Established in 2008, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Central College has defined its mission as training high-quality human resources with professional competence, ethical standards, and a professional working style in an international integration environment. The goal is to meet the demands of organizations, businesses, research institutions, and language training centers both domestically and internationally, thereby contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.

ACHIEVEMENTS

With 17 years of development, the Faculty currently offers four main majors and has a team of 200 lecturers, including one full-time foreign lecturer.

DISTINCTIVE FEATURES

The Faculty provides application-oriented training. Students are equipped with general knowledge of the field and can choose a specialization based on their competence, academic level, and personal interests.

Specialized programs offer students the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required by various sectors such as translation and interpretation, commerce, tourism, and teaching.

The training methodology emphasizes hands-on experience and practical learning through real-world activities and internships at enterprises.

Students have access to a wide range of extracurricular activities, including arts, sports, and social volunteering.

They also engage in vibrant club activities such as the Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese Language Clubs, and the Calligraphy Club, which help them improve their language skills and develop essential soft skills.

Students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages are known for being dynamic and active, often participating in the college’s movements, talent and academic competitions, and winning prestigious awards.

INTERNSHIP AND STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES

Students are given opportunities to participate in practical activities and internships to gain more industry experience and workplace readiness.

In particular, students majoring in Chinese Language have the chance to take part in 2+2 joint training programs, which allow them to study abroad and enhance their academic knowledge, professional skills, and understanding of new cultures.

By 2030, the Faculty of Foreign Languages aims to become a prestigious unit for application- and career-oriented language training in Vietnam, integrated within the region and aligned with international standards.

KEY FOCUS ACTIVITIES

The Faculty continuously updates its training programs in line with application-oriented goals and opens new majors and subjects.

Students are encouraged to enhance their language abilities through club activities in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, as well as through cultural exchange events with international organizations and academic competitions at institutional, city, and national levels.

Practical activities and internships are emphasized to give students hands-on experience and prepare them to meet the demands of the job market upon graduation.

The Faculty also focuses on international cooperation, actively seeking scholarships to help students intern or study abroad. It strengthens ties with institutions, organizations, and businesses to provide students with opportunities to practice, develop skills, plan for the future, and optimize their potential.

Faculty development is also a priority, with efforts to improve teaching methods and promote scientific research among lecturers.
