THE FACULTY OF TOURISM – TRAINING HUMAN RESOURCES TO SUPPORT TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL AND CENTRAL HIGHLANDS REGIONS

Established in 2007, the Faculty of Tourism at Central College trains nearly 300 students annually. The Faculty has developed and implemented a system of practical training rooms tailored to its specialized fields. Additionally, the Faculty places great emphasis on strengthening connections with businesses and alumni to provide internship opportunities, enhance job prospects, and foster collaborative training efforts. Many lecturers are also recruited from the business sector. As a result, for many years, students from the Faculty of Tourism have been recognized by society for their dynamism and eagerness to learn.

18 years of development; 3 main majors; 20 partner businesses; 85% of graduates employed.

Application-Oriented Programs

Over the past 18 years of training, the Faculty has maintained stability in its organizational structure, number of students, training programs, and educational quality. The training programs incorporate enterprise semesters and practical seminars such as "From Classroom to Career Practice," helping students connect academic knowledge with real-world professional experience.

The curriculum is continuously updated with a focus on real-world application and industry alignment, meeting the needs of employers, society, and international integration.

In collaboration with the Department of Tourism, the Faculty has participated in creating a white paper on tourism workforce development and organizing national scientific conferences on regional linkages in developing a high-quality tourism workforce in Vietnam. It also engages in local research projects and guides students in conducting practical, high-impact research.

The Faculty actively fosters partnerships with leading tourism enterprises across the country, resulting in more than 20 cooperation agreements.

A Dynamic Student Life Experience

The college and Faculty create optimal conditions for students to improve their professional skills through participation in specialized clubs such as the Bartender Club and the Travel Club. Tourism students proudly uphold and develop the Faculty’s traditions, achieving numerous accolades each year in academics, professional training, and cultural-social activities.

Together with more than 10 student clubs at the college, students can fully explore their cultural and social values and strive to become the best versions of themselves.

It serves the needs of tourism management agencies, businesses, research institutions, and training organizations, contributing to national socio-economic development and international integration.

FACULTY ACTIVITIES

  • Focus resources on improving training programs to meet regional and international standards while incorporating modern, relevant knowledge tailored to Vietnam.

  • Innovate teaching and learning methods by aligning with real-world business practices to foster students’ independence and creativity.

  • Collaborate with businesses to sign MOUs for student training, internship placements, and feedback on curriculum development.

  • Actively partner with the Department of Tourism to organize forums, skill competitions, tourism fairs, and participate in international tourism exhibitions.

  • Promote the development of specialized clubs and student teams, encourage exchange activities and competitions to provide students with a platform to showcase their talents, inspire learning, and create a meaningful university experience.

  • Continuously seek and select partners to cooperate with, and maintain relationships with tourism enterprises domestically and internationally to provide students with internship opportunities, practical experiences, study abroad options, and job prospects after graduation.
